2. Hosting and technical access data
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Your device’s IP address is technically processed to deliver the website. Access data includes, in particular, the requested page or file, time of access, browser, operating system, device type and, where applicable, the previously visited page.
According to IONOS, access data is anonymised when collected and stored for eight weeks. IONOS also provides hosting-level, cookie-free WebAnalytics statistics; IP addresses are anonymised immediately after transmission. This supports secure operation, error analysis, and statistical and technical optimisation. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is in a secure, stable website suited to visitors’ needs.
Information from the hosting provider: IONOS Webhosting and IONOS WebAnalytics. IONOS states that this processing does not involve transferring visitor data outside the EU.
3. Contact form and email
When you contact us, we process your name, email address, company if provided, and message content to handle and respond to your enquiry. Form enquiries are sent to ferger@kanzlei-ferger.de through the hosting provider’s mail service. Messages are not additionally stored in a website database.
Opening the form creates a technically necessary session using a cookie named kanzlei_contact . This protects against forged requests and automated abuse. A random security token and timestamps are stored, but no form text. The session cookie lasts until the browser session ends; server-side session information is removed according to the server’s technical cleanup intervals. Storage for the explicitly requested form function is based on section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG; security processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Pre-contractual or contractual enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is in handling your contact request. Messages are deleted once processing is complete and no retention obligations or grounds for pursuing legal claims remain. Business records subject to statutory retention are kept until the relevant period expires. Required fields are necessary for a reply; alternatively, you can email us directly.
4. Appearance, local files and external links
Fonts, graphics, scripts and styles are loaded from our own webspace. We do not use external font services, advertising pixels, embedded social media or Google Analytics.
When you select Dark Silver or Light Silver, only that choice is saved under ferger-theme in your browser’s local storage. This storage provides your requested appearance (section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG) and remains until deleted.
External websites, such as Folixum, are only accessed when you follow a link. Their own privacy policies apply to their data processing.
5. Recipients and data protection
Data is only received by service providers and authorised persons needed for operation or processing, and by legally entitled bodies where applicable. Website access and the contact form are encrypted via HTTPS. Completely risk-free communication over the internet cannot be guaranteed. No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place.
6. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, simply write to the email address above.
Right to object: Under Article 21 GDPR, you may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Hesse, this is in particular the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, PO Box 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.
